01 / The Range

02 / The House

A mill that thinks like a brand.

LUMA & CO. TEXTILE was founded in 2007 in the towel-weaving heartland of Gaoyang, Zhejiang. Three generations of textile makers in one family — but the goal was always different. We wanted to be the mill that brand directors actually want to work with.

That meant treating every order as a product, not a commodity. Choosing the right yarn for the right hand-feel. Sampling logos until the thread density reads exactly as it does in your guideline. Sending a real merchandiser — not a generic sales account — to every WhatsApp thread.

Today our towels live in the bathrooms of resort groups in Bali and the locker rooms of fitness chains in Berlin. Every meter is woven, finished, decorated and quality-controlled under one roof.

Five ways your logo becomes the towel.

Every brand mark has an optimal application. We help you pick — and often suggest combining techniques, like a jacquard ground with a flat-stitch corner monogram, for a finish that reads as distinctly yours.

A short list of repeat houses.

We work under NDA with most clients, but a partial list of brand families we ship to monthly.

LUMA is the only mill we don't have to second-guess. The first sample is usually the right sample — and they actually push back when our spec is wrong. That is rarer than you'd think.

07 / Questions Buyers Ask

Common questions, plain answers.

If you're new to sourcing custom towels from Asia, here's the short version of what most clients want to clarify before quoting. Drop us a line if your question isn't here.

What is your MOQ for custom logo towels? +
Our standard MOQ is 500 pieces per design, per color, per size. For straightforward single-color embroidered logos we can sometimes accommodate 300 pieces. Full jacquard woven designs require a minimum of 1,000 pieces because the loom set-up is amortized over the run. We're flexible on mixed-spec orders — talk to us and we'll work the math.
How long does production take from order confirmation? +
Standard lead time is 25–35 days after sample approval and 30% deposit. Embroidered orders typically ship in 20–25 days; sublimation and digital print in 22–28 days; jacquard woven orders need 35–45 days due to loom card making. Sea freight to most US, EU and Middle East ports adds 18–35 days; air freight cuts that to 4–7 days.
Can I get a free physical sample before placing a bulk order? +
Yes for unbranded fabric samples — you only cover the courier (typically USD 30–60 by DHL). For custom-logo proof samples we charge USD 50–150 depending on the technique; this sample fee is fully credited back against your bulk order when you proceed. We send sample photos and a teardown video before couriering, so you know exactly what's coming.
What certifications do your towels carry? +
Every product we ship is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certified (the strictest tier, suitable for baby skin contact). Our facility is BSCI audited, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 certified. We can supply GOTS-certified organic cotton ranges on request, and provide REACH and CPSIA test reports for EU and US compliance. Test reports are issued per order on demand.
Which logo decoration methods do you offer? +
Five core methods: flat embroidery, 3D puff embroidery, dye-sublimation printing (microfiber only), jacquard weaving (woven-in patterns), and screen-printing. We also produce woven labels, satin hem strips, laser-etched details and laser-engraved leather patches. For most premium hotel and brand work we recommend a combination — for example a jacquard ground with a flat-stitch corner monogram.
Can you ship under our brand label (private-label / white-label)? +
Yes. We have done this for over 80 brand clients. We produce woven main labels, satin care labels, hangtags, printed polybags and custom kraft cartons. All boxes can be printed with your barcode, country of origin and SKU at no premium. We never ship our own branding inside customer-facing packaging.
What's the difference between ring-spun, combed, and zero-twist cotton? +
Ring-spun is the baseline industrial yarn. Combed cotton goes through an extra step that removes short fibers, giving a noticeably softer hand-feel and stronger yarn (we recommend it for any hotel-grade or above). Zero-twist cotton has untwisted loops on the surface — it absorbs roughly 30% more water and is what you typically feel at five-star spas. It costs more and is slightly less abrasion-resistant; ideal for spa and bath sheets, not so much for gym towels.
How do you handle color matching to our Pantone? +
For solid-color dyed towels we match to Pantone TCX (textile) references, not Pantone C (paper) — we'll convert if you only have a paper reference. Our in-house dye-house produces a small lab-dip for your approval before bulk dyeing. We can typically hit a Delta-E of under 2.0 on most shades. For prints, we ICC-profile to your color guide and sign off on a strike-off before bulk print runs.
